WP-Amazon Plugin - Am I the only one with problems?

by Gayla McCord on July 11th, 2007

Ever since I’ve completed the upgrade of Wordpress, my WP-Amazon plugin hasn’t worked.

I’ve removed it, reinstalled it, upgraded it and nothing!

This plugin is one of those things that I don’t use very often, but when I want to use it, it’s nice to know it’s there and working.

Anyone have any tips on how to get the darn thing to work?

Hmmm… I installed WP-Amazon on our newly “upgraded” WP 2.1.3 installation (not going 2.2 yet), and it didn’t work at first - until I set it’s config options to search Amazon U.S. - the default was Canada.

Just a suggestion, hope it helps. :-)

    Have an awesome day!

It doesn’t work with 2.2 - I am really hoping they release a new version of the plugin soon - I like to use it too.

    PS - Happy Birthday!

Yeah, it’s a problem with the javascript library. WP2.2 switched over to JQuery and the Amazon plugin uses an older library that’s incompatible. If you check the plugin author’s website, he’s got a link to his Google workgroup where someone worked a patch that might work for you. Otherwise, we’re all in a holding pattern until he gets the Greasemonkey script out.

I just leave my little Amazon log in up in the background OR within my tabs on firefox and input the codes that way.
