Thomas Hearty Grains Oatmeal & Honey Products - A MomGadget Review

Being a person that has a history of heart disease in my family, and especially with my kids grandfather’s life being cut short by a heart attack, I tend to be a bit concerned over the cholesterol levels in my family. In effort to create healthy eating habits in my kids, I try to keep watch for products that are healthier for all of us.

The latest find that’s caused an all out feeding frenzy in my house is Thomas Oatmeal and Honey English Muffins and Bagels.

Thomas’ Hearty Grains Oatmeal & Honey English Muffins and Bagels have all the whole grain goodness of oats, a hint of honey that make them just sweet enough. They contain natural cholesterol reducing benefits of plant extracts to bring a delicious-tasting, healthier treat to any family.

Gadget Teen and Gadget Dad have always liked bagels while I’ve been more an English Muffin kinda gal. Just a couple of days ago I had two packs of each in my kitchen. This morning I was left to nothing but crumbs in the bottom of a crumpled up bag tucked in the corner of the breadbox.

It’s not very often that a parent finds their kids sneaking around to eat healthy snacks and while I was disappointed to find I wasn’t going to get the pleasure of enjoying my last English Muffin with my morning coffee, I had the satisfaction of knowing my kids were sent off to school with full bellies from something other then Pop Tarts and sugary cereal.

You wrote, “They contain natural cholesterol reducing benefits of plant extracts”. Does this mean the muffins contain plant sterols? If yes, do you know the brand and amount of plant sterols? I have high colesterol, and many articles and books I have read recommend including products with plant sterols in your diet.
