The UGGly Selfish Side of Me
Over the last couple of months, I’ve decided it’s time for ‘mom’ to get just a wee bit selfish. I’ve worked hard for a very long time and have always put my family first. Lately though, I’ve felt I deserved to spoil myself just a bit.
The first thing I purchased, thanks to the encouragement of my wonderful gal pals Wendy and Char, was a handbag and well, that handbag would lead to three. It’s the first time in my entire life, I’ve ever owned a handbag with a serial number stamped in leather inside. And it’s totally an addiction!

The other is basic black satchel style bag, but what woman doesn’t feel sexy in black?
Talk about feeling special!
Well, once bitten by the handbag bug, I of course had to have an awesome pair of shoes to go with it. And since we’re approaching winter and all the celebs are wearing UGG, I had to choose UGG!
I’d heard all the fuss about these boots - I’d seen them gracing the feet of Jessica Simpson, Cameron Diaz and Jennifer Lopez, but never could imagine any shoe being that great! In fact, I purchased them out of sheer selfishness and in attempt to spoil my darned self for a change. Whoa, did it ever work!
My husband was here the day my UGG’s arrived. I couldn’t wait to tear into the box and slip my feet into this footwear phenomenon.
From the very second my toes touched the edge, YES, the edge of the of these boots, I knew I was in for a real treat! All I can say is thanks to my UGG boots, I totally blew the Herbal Essence girl and the famous Meg Ryan scene of When Harry Met Sally away with an orgasmic scene all my own.
It’s the first time I’ve ever seen my husband overcome with the slightest twinge of jealousy.
Everything they say about these boots is true! They keep your feet perfectly at body temperature - warm in cold weather and cool in hot weather. And don’t be fooled by all the claims of how ugly these boots are, they’re not! In fact, I think they’re adorable with jeans.
I don’t think you’ll find me wearing my UGG’s with shorts like Ms. Simpson, Lopez and Spears, but with blue jeans, hoodies and long skirts, you betcha!
This is an absolute MUST for any Christmas list. Men, Women, Children - there are UGGs for everyone!
The thing is, when making a purchase like this, you have to make sure what you’re getting is authentic. So if you’re thinking about stepping into your own pair soon - I’d strongly advise buying direct and not going the eBay route. It’s much more affordable!

Oh I love them, black purse and lovely boots. They look really soft and warm too. Hmmm, I know what I want. Oh I’m going to ROAR today in the forum too. :)

I’ve had a pair of UGGs for more than ten years; I bought them to use as slippers because my feet are always cold, and when I bought my first pair nobody had ever heard of them, not even Britney Spears. I never would have dreamed of wearing them outside the house because to me they were just slippers, but then all kinds of people started buying them and wearing them everywhere. I thought they were nuts — these things were just slippers, for goodness’ sake. But last year I bought a pair of purple UGGs and ended up wearing them everywhere, and you’re right — they are extremely comfortable, and once I started wearing them in public I couldn’t stop. I just bought a pair of the crochet UGGs on Shoes.com, where the prices are slightly better, especially if your feet will fit into the kids’ sizes.

I’ve had some UGGs for about 8 years and wore them about twice. Mom got them for us from her trip to Australia where they are indeed sold as slippers!!! I can’t get my head around wearing them outdoors LOL
I am going to male a concerted effort this year though as they are soooo comfortable. Think I need a pair of crocs too ;)
