Skeeda Reuseable Shopping Bags - A MomGadget Review
If there were no other reason to initiate my switch to reuseable shopping bags, learning the fact that 14 shopping bags contain enough petroleum to drive a car 1 mile is it! Knowing that my family accumulates at least 15 bags per week just from shopping - That’s pretty scary stuff!
The more I learn all the ill we are doing that’s impacting the world our children will know, I’m growing more aware of simple changes I can make to do my part in helping save the planet.
The very facts that surround plastic shopping bags are terrifying and paper shopping bags aren’t much better.
I’m actually entertaining the idea of creating a themed Christmas this year - and calling it “Dreaming of a Green Christmas.” I’m not sure how my family would take to the concept, but it’s one worth exploring. I could start with a reuseable shopping bag for each adult family member from Skeeda.
The thing I like about Skeeda bags is the fact they are cute and fashionable enough that you can carry them to any store. Whether you’re making a dash into Target for household or clothing items or making that dreaded trip to the supermarket to fulfill the demanding shopping list that’s set up residence on the front of your fridge for a week - the Skeeda bags are suitable for any store.
Skeeda is a family business and they’re doing their part by providing us with the choice of eco-friendly shopping bags, at least we can do our part and purchase and use them.
Won’t you do your part to help save the planet? At least take into consideration all the facts Skeeda.com has provided before making your decision.

Supermarkets in Singapore will not provide plastic shopping bags on the first Wednesday every month. Some consumers were unhappy. I applauded the move and thought it should be extended to every Wednesday. We used too much disposable plastics for food and drinks. In the oriental society, another disposable items that can be cut down are the disposable wooden chopsticks. Just imagine the numbers of trees have to die for our comfort.

Funny about the disposable wooden chopsticks, Japan is trying to promote them again since it saves on plastics and is a Japanese traditional product.
The bag looks nice. It is upsetting to have so many plastic bags. They arent as durable as they used to be and I find I’m always throwing them away.
Back in my single days, I’d take my backpack with me shopping and fill it up at the checkstand but with a family it isn’t that easy anymore.

Hey,
Great article, I feel exactly the same. I have started using these jute bags from a UK supplies (I’m in the UK) and they are much better. This kind of thing is simply BETTER than plastic and I think we should all move towards entirely replacing our plastic bags with these kids of eco friendly alternative.

The truth is petroleum is used for everything directly or indirectly, even food needs petroleum (fertilizers, harvesting, transportation…), but every little action counts
