Mom’s love to take pictures which means they need lots of storage space in which to store them. As a mother who takes digital photos, I can say without hesitation that external storage is a must. One of the most painful “gadget times” I’ve had has been watching my photos disappear into oblivion when my computer became infected with a virus several years ago.

This Mother’s Day – consider giving mom a gadget that will provide her with safe and secure storage for all the digital media files she could possibly come up with.

With its sleek design and large storage capacity, the FreeAgent Go portable storage solution makes it easy for mom to take her photos, music, videos, and documents everywhere. Easy-to-use software helps keep mom’s information safe with automatic data backup and encryption of important files. Mom can take advantage of the world’s first portable drive with a convenient desktop dock accessory too, adding further to it’s convenience and portability.

“Tell me of a personal experience when you could have used or will use portable file storage.”

I am sure you have heard it a thousand times - the computer storing my photos had a hard drive failure - all that work and memories lost for ever!

  2. Volunteering for the seniors center in my town, I noticed about a year ago that much of our towns history is gradually disappearing. My plans are to start an archiving project where I can go, photograph the town seniors, record their stories about the town, its citizens and take photos of what is quickly a disappearing traditional lifestyle here in Newfoundland, Canada.

I would use this device as part of this project should I be lucky enough to win. Content captured will form the basis of a heritage display and website, with this being a permanent record of the history that has made our culture unique.

I lost the discs I had backed up my photos. This drive will prevent that.

This is a useful drive. However, you might consider virtual storage that you can access from anywhere.

A Seagate Free Agent Gi 320 GB Portable Drive would have prevented the lost of my wordprocessing files and pictures when my computer was infected by a virus.

  6. Deborah says:

We had finally gathered all the family documents in one place and had spent days scanning everything into digital files to be shared with the whole family. Before we could even back up the files, the laptop hard disk died and all that work was for nothing. Needless to say, we learned a valuable lesson and winning this would help prevent such a disaster from happening again.
