Move over Altoids - Oral Fixation is moving in!

oralfixation tins

Gourmet mints from Oral Fixation come in minimalist brushed metal tins, reminiscent of 1920s cigarette cases. The tins are perfectly sized to hold credit cards and business cards, making impromptu wallets just one of the many uses once the mints are gone. Tins come in nine varieties.

Oral Fixation actually has an enjoyable story behind the start of their company. This product line actually evolved from an idea and desire to help a friend quite smoking.

b5media Lifestyles, Health and Wellness Blogger Positions Open

Veggie chic - This blog has been vacant for some time actually. The current blogger has been posting just enough to keep the blog functional and is anxious to hand over the reigns. Obviously the topic would be a wonderful fit for a vegetarian.

Robust Cooking - A healthy meal/cooking blog designed to help plan meals for various health issues and ailments. Available Nov. 1.

Noodles & Rice - Filled

Kinsanity - This blog is available immediately. It’s not found it’s rhythm and is entirely open to reinvention. My thoughts are to take the direction of heavy in blended families, in-laws, toxic relatives and so forth. Quirky and humorous would do quite well in this blog.

Pink Ribbon Review - Filled

GenBetween - The sandwich generation - parents caring for their parents blog - available Nov. 1. This one could be slightly reinvented for the right blogger.

Kids Health Notes - This blog will be available Nov. 1 and focuses on kids health from infancy to adolescence.

New blogs (topics) to be developed:

Allergy - Brand new blog with a focus on allergies, treatments and prevention measures.

Requirements and How to Apply:

The selected blogger will be required to post once per day at minimum M-F. A basic knowledge of HTML and Wordpress are required.

For an application questionnaire, send your email request with the name of the blog you are applying for to gayla@b5media.com

Baker’s Edge Brownie Pan - For those who love the edge

brownie edge pan

If you’re of the belief that the best part of the bread is the crust, and the best part of the muffin is the top, then it goes without saying that the best part of the brownie is…the edge! In a conventional pan you’re out of luck unless you secure one of the four corner pieces, but not so with the “Baker’s Edge Brownie Pan”.

This uniquely-shaped pan creates ”two” chewy edges on every individual serving…so edges for everyone! It’s sized to fit “box mixes” and recipes for 9”x9” or 9”x13” pans; also perfect for moist and chewy bar cookies and breads. Made of durable, heavy-gauge non-stick cast aluminum, with patented sidewalls that circulate heat evenly. Recessed handles allow pan to be gripped when turned upside-down. Premium nonstick coating and round corners make it easy-to-clean. A custom mini-spatula, and recipes included. Measures 9” x 12”x 2”.  Price: $35.95

Available at SpoonSisters

A 911 for the 411 on Fall Cleaning

It’s no big secret that I suffer from S.A.D. (seasonal defective disorder). Once the bold, cheerful colors begin to fade, I begin a rapid spiral into hibernation until the first signs of Spring begin to appear.

I’ve purchased books to help give fun, innovative tips on getting organized - one of the most exciting tips I’ve uncovered so far has been placing a magnetic strip inside the medicine cabinet to hold items like tweezers and nail clippers.

That’s what I’m talkin’ about.

Having been formally diagnosed with OCD makes for an interesting combination with SAD - there’s the need to control, the need to organize, but the lack of motivation to do so.

Go figure!

That’s why I’m calling on YOU! Gimme a little sumpin’ sumpin’ to get me going.

What inspires you to dig in and get that Fall cleaning and organizing done?

What are some of your favorite tips and tricks to keep you going in an organized manner throughout the winter months?

I bought what an infomercial had to sell

monster-1200 Ever have one of those nights where you just can’t sleep - you grab the remote and flip through the channels when you here “But Wait!” So you do?

I did and I waited - I listened to the entire infomercial on the Monster 1200 Cleaning Machine.

The Monster 1200 is a breakthrough in household cleaning that is the world’s first deep cleaner AND sanitizer.  It can deep clean ANY surface, eliminate germs and bacteria, and even deodorize and remove odors from your home, without using dangerous chemicals or time consuming handheld cleaners.

That’s what they said!

Given that I live in a house filled with males and mutts and I’ve been formally diagnosed with OCD - I love the idea of having something that cleans SO well.

I did order the product and will let you know how the cleaning goes once it arrives - but for now, check out the little video the official site of Monster 1200 Steam Cleaning Machine shares - then tell me if I’m a sucker for a good infomercial or what.
