Times are tough! We are all feeling the pinch these days and many of us are taking necessary steps to tighten up our budget.

One method you might consider is bartering your services!

We all have a trade or talent that is highly marketable – why not use your skills in exchange for something you might need – be it plumbing, auto repair, web design, etc.

Check out these bartering websites to see what others are offering up and get a little inspiration on how you can join in the action to save the strain on your wallet.

Bartering Websites:

BabySitterExchange.com – Swap baby-sitting hours with members in your community.

BarterPlanet.com – Everything from legal services to power tools

BizXchange.com – A major business-to-business trading network

Care.com – Nanny and senior care services

Craigslist.org – Bartering boards broken down by state

SwapStyle.com – Clothing and accessories

SwapThing.com – Home furnishings and jewelry

SwapTree.com – Music, movies, books and video games

U-Exchange.com – Cleaning and carpentry services and much more

Zwaggle.com – Kids’ stuff

I’m already finding lots of items that I’m checking into for trade. This is exciting stuff in trying times!

If you happen to join one of these sites and make a great trade – please keep us posted. I love to hear of the great treasures our readers uncover.

Enjoy!

I think bartering for products is an amazing idea, lately I have started to barter my tots clothing, because he just grows so damn fast. There is this great website called http://barterquest.com there you can barter everything from goods, services and real estate. Last week I even found a babysitter on there, my husband and I had a great night out.

  4. Not just bartering services. Trading stocks is also a good way of earning once you master it. Online Trading Academy is one which you can always refer to learn trading. It contains a lot of interesting tips and video tutorials on Trading.
