My Secret Circle Review

I recently received and got to review the “My Secret Circle BFF Pack™ ” . ($29.99)  First you’ll have to get a partner, aka BFF (Best Friend Forever) and give them the matching keychain. Both will need to sign up and install the program. Your child will need to agree to the agreement on the sight if they are under 18. After that they’ll make a password, sign in and go to their personal page. I did have a slight issue getting my daughter’s to recognize us at first, however once I had typed in www.mysecretcircle.com and then put the key in the USB port we were ready to go.

At your child’s personal page they get to at this spot they get to design their own little diva, this includes hair color, clothing, necklaces/chokers, etc. From there they can pick out their border and begin to journal. In the journal they can play with font, color and even add pictures. Now they can get comments on their blog but they can’t respond to them, at least my daughter hasn’t figured out how yet if they can.

Important note: When signing in to the personal page to find a friend your friend MUST have the secret password. You click the friend icon at the top of the page, if there are no friends click the password symbol and make sure to give it to the friend. The friend will need to type the code in to access your daughter’s account.

Once your child gets a friend they can go to each other’s page, read the blog, comment, share pictures and my daughter’s favorite….chat.

By the way, she’s now journaling every day and of course chatting. I’m happy to know that I don’t have to worry about some sicko trying to write her. Now as I stated she had to find a friend and for the sake of the review I did ask the parent to help me review this, here is what she told me.

“I like that I can log her on and walk away, I know she won’t be talking with anyone else but your daughter. But I think it is too overly protective. But she loves it and I’m happy with that.”

By the way, the two have got on every day since we got them signed up. I’ll admit it is very protected but for a mom like me, I love it. Oh and the part she’s meaning is the secret password because it has about 10-15 numbers in it.

Thank you My Secret Circle for giving my daughter a place to chat online without having to join a social site where anyone could be iming her. This would make a great holiday gift or birthday present for some little girl.

Senario My Secret Circle Secret Network Key can be purchased with just one key or two. One USB key ($19.99) is good for those that don’t have a friend that is already on or if you want your child to get started blogging. Two works best if they have a friend that will do this with them. This is the perfect way your little girl between 8-12 can get on a secure social network and be able to be left alone.

Oh did I mention that if they do try getting on another site besides “My Secret Circle” it’ll take their page completely off and they’d have to log in again? Just thought I’d mention it.
