On a recent trip to Altanta, I found the most delicious candy bar at Whole Foods. It is the most fascinating combination of bacon and chocolate! Yes, you read right, bacon and chocolate. As a person who thinks that anything tastes better with bacon, I did not hesitate at all to buy this one.
The description on the box says “applewood smoked bacon, alderwood smoked salt and deep milk chocolate”. The flavor is a very pleasing, smokey, slightly salty, a little spicey, and rich chocolate.
It took me three days to eat this 3 ounce bar, as I wanted to savor every square of it.

With Valentine’s Day coming up, if you want to make a hit with the chocolate lover in your life, this would be theperfect gift! It has little chunks of real bacon covered in delicious milk chocolate. On the box, there are really sensuous instructions “…Breathe…engage your 5 senses, close your eyes, and inhale deeply. Be in the present moment, notice the color of the chocolate, the glossy shine. Rub your thumb over the chocolate bar to release the aromas of smoked applewood bacon flirting with deep milk chocolate. The 3 ounce bar has 2.5 servings at 160 calories each and 11 grams of fat. This chocolate bar is not cheap–at $7.49 a bar, it can be described as expensive. But, it is worth every penny! Mmmmmm, bacon and chocolate!
