MomGadget Meets Organizing Expert Donna Smallin
This morning I had the wonderful experience of attending a seminar conducted by Donna Smallin, organizing expert and author of seven books on uncluttering, organizing, cleaning and simplifying life that have sold nearly 750,000 copies worldwide. Donna’s website can be found at Unclutter.com
The seminar was hosted by Staples and was part of a promotional tour for a new product line “M by Staples.”
I just received my gift package that contains several items from the line and will be conducting reviews as I utilize these tools to become more organized myself.
I happen to be one of those people who finds it a complete waste of time and extremely frustrating to be disorganized. Even to the point of while traveling, I make the beds in my hotel rooms because it helps me to keep organized and minimize my risk of leaving something behind.
There was a great sense of pleasure and validation for my own behavior that poured over me while listening to Donna speak. It was as if I’d finally found “my people” - a “people” that understood me.
Over the winter and while battling Ebstein Barr Virus and depression, I became a little more disorganized then I care to be. These items couldn’t have come at a better time. In a way, I feel I have an obligation to become organized again - and to do so with such attractive products make it fun!
More to come in the coming weeks as MomGadget takes her own journey to revisit the land of extreme organization.

I’ve always considered myself and organized person. It’s so much easier in finding things. But I still have a ways to go in getting completely organized.
