Insignia Digital Photo Frame – A MomGadget Review
While there’s a large part of me that goes sheepishly and fully into this digital era that’s upon us, there are a few items I’ve been introduced to that make that journey easier.
When I first heard about digital photo frames, I thought they were cool, sure – but I never realized just how wonderful they are for some people.
Once the initial introduction was made to me – my excitement for the product grew. Over the most recent Christmas holiday, digital photo frames were one of the primary gifts I wanted to get for relatives on my list.
It sure made shopping easy since Best Buy seems to have the best selection of digital frames out there.
When I have the ability to sit in my family room and glance over to my own Insignia Digital Photo Frame and watch an entire family album fold across the screen without lifting a finger to turn a page, I realized just how beneficial this product was.
I only wish something like this would have been available when my grandmother was alive. She loved her pictures and once she moved to the nursing home, her space was limited, thus so was her display of photos.
Then there’s my father – he’s lived alone for over 20 years now and while he enjoys surrounding himself with photos of his grandkids, if I don’t provide the frame, the nail and the effort – the photos would lay on his mantel and collect dust alongside a few items he likes to keep close by his favorite chair.
With the digital photo frame – and with the remote – he can enjoy a hefty collection of images whenever he wants.
In fact, the kids and I purchased him one similar to ours this year. When we had our family holiday dinner, that was the first thing he showed everyone. We were quite pleased that he enjoyed it so much – especially since he tends to be a difficult one to buy for.
While digital photo frames may be escorting you one step further into this broad digital era – the joy it provides is both timeless and classic.
