I Love You More - A MomGadget Review

I recently received “I Love You More” by Laura Duksta which is a unique book because of it’s flip-side. These are the books that end in the middle and you must turn the book around and begin at the back to read the entire story. When I got this in the mail I didn’t even get to read it first, it was the two girls that took off to the other side of the room to read it to one another.
Review by BabyGirl, age 4, “I love it because I get a great big hug and kiss. And the boy says, “Mom I love you more.”
As you can see she loves this book and I should know she has me read it to her. But because of the simple phrases she’s now reading it to me.
My Review:
In the story, a little boy asks his mom just how much she loves him. Being a mom, she’s quick on her feet with the answer and explains to him how deep her love is in verse form:
I love you deeper
than the deepest
fish ever swam.
After she is done explaining her love for him the story ends, or so you think. Flip the book over and read what he tells her when she asks him the question. The full page illustrations are sure to catch the eye of any youngster and add more to the story. I believe this is definitely a cute book that would delight any young child, with the holidays around the corner maybe this should be a book under your tree. Show your child how much you love them and purchase I Love You More today, it’ll be here just in time for the Holidays.

I have a three year old and a one year old and I love finding new books to read with them. I’m a early childhood teacher and my collection is somewhat large but there is nothing better than another feel good book to read to your children at bedtime. Thank you.

Thank You Eliza! It has been a lot of fun finding our book permeating cyberspace :-) I am so glad to hear that your girls love it…that’s what matters most! We have found that it is great to have the little ones act out the different pictures (most of them work). Fly like a bird, wave your branches like a tree, leap like a frog, etc… and of course…blast off like a rocket ship-countdown and all!
Thank you again for the review! Have a bright and blessed holiday season!
