dancing with the stars How many of you tuned in last night to the premiere episode of 2010 Dancing with the Stars?

I’ve never been one to watch every single episode, but I tune in at the beginning to see how graceful the celebrities are and see how the women look.

Dancing is a great workout and watching these celebrities transform right before our eyes is one of the aspects that draws me to the show for a check in every now and again.

Remember how trim and shapely Kelly Osbourne and Melissa Joan Hart ended up being after they literally danced their tails off?

This seasons hotties like Pamela Anderson and Kate Gosselin are already in top shape. When HASN’T Pamela Anderson been in top shape? And while she might be a very nice person – I’m so green with envy!

Apparently I’m not the only one that would have problems going up against the likes of the former Baywatch babe.

Did you know, 90210 bad girl Shannen Doherty decided to drop a few unwanted pounds before the competition even began? Her go-to diet of choice was Dr. Siegal’s Cookie Diet. Shannen has been spotted at the Beverly Hills store picking up weekly boxes as well as ordering online at www.CookieDiet.com.

Whether you are an aspiring Dancing with the Stars champion or not, celebrities seem to be flocking to the Cookie Diet to lose those extra pounds.

Recently spotted at their local Dr. Siegal’s Cookie Shops are:

The View Logo

I’m so excited to be able to announce to my friends, family and MomGadget readers that I’ve received word that I’ve been selected as a Brand Ambassador for the daytime television show The View. Yay! This is going to be FUN!

Every morning, while having our umteenth cup of coffee, Anthony and I watch The View. We always engage in conversation and debates over the daily “hot topics.” Sometimes we agree – but most of the time we carry out our disagreement clear through to the end of the show.

While this is very exciting to me – and perhaps thought-provoking for readers who may wish to engage in discussions on the show, after posting my announcement on Facebook, I have to stress to you – this does not mean I’m going to be on the show at all. Basically I get to participate for one month. I get inside information on shows, guests and get to participate in discussions, a variety of promotions and I may get some cool stuff along the way.

When this opportunity came up, I jumped. To show what a fan I am, this last Christmas, I got my mom and step-dad each a The View mug of their very own. :)

Seriously, I’m a true fan and my day just isn’t complete without the ladies of The View!

Over the next 4 weeks we’ll have assignments to let you all know what cool things will be happening with The View.

To get this party started, did you know Mom Central is running a contest to send one lucky fan to New York City to watch a taping of The View? If you are a fan and want to sign up You can enter HERE.

Do you watch The View? Who’s your favorite host? What is it about that host you like best?

“I am a participant in a Mom Central campaign for ABC Daytime and will receive a tote bag or other The View branded items to facilitate my review.”

Scrubs 8 Beauty Shots Singles.inddScrub in with JD, Turk and Elliot when Scrubs: The Complete Eighth Season [Blu-ray] arrives on BLU-RAY on November 17th. I am a huge fan of Scrubs and used to watch it religiously! It’ll be nice to have the entire season 8 at my fingertips.

The doctors at Sacred Heart Hospital administer another hilarious dose of their inimitable medicine in Scrubs: The Complete Eighth Season, came to DVD on August 25,2009 and Blu-ray for the first time on November 17, 2009. The long-running show’s trademark surrealistic humor reaches a fever pitch in these 19 episodes, including the hysterical and heart-warming two-part season finale.

Nothing is sacred at Sacred Heart Hospital, where Dr. John “J.D.” Dorian (Zach Braff) has survived his internship and become attending physician while Dr. Cox (John C. McGinley) has been kicked upstairs. Along with his best friends and colleagues Turk (Donald Faison), Elliot (Sarah Chalke) and Carla (Judy Reyes), J.D. keeps things rolling at the most unpredictable medical center on television. Packed with whip-smart dialogue and wacky characters, the eighth season of Scrubs once again has audiences in

yes virginia

CBS announces YES, VIRGINIA, a new animated Christmas special based on the 1897 true story of Virginia O’Hanlon, an 8-year-old girl who inspired the most famous newspaper editorial of all time by asking, “Is there a Santa Claus?”  This heartwarming tale makes its television debut on Friday, Dec. 11 (8:00-8:30 PM, ET/PT), on the CBS Television Network.

Eight-year-old Virginia O’Hanlon had always loved Christmas until the playground bully, Charlotte, tells her and the other children that Santa Claus doesn’t exist.  Not sure what to believe, Virginia and her friend, Ollie, venture into the streets of New York City to uncover the truth.  Along the way, they encounter a Scraggly Santa who is trying to raise money for the less fortunate (he admits he’s not the real deal, but someone who sort of works for Santa Claus), an over-eager librarian with a shelf full of Christmas books, and interesting advice from Virginia’s quirky scientist father.  Unable to find the answer, Virginia decides to write a letter to the New York Sun newspaper knowing that their reputation for reporting the facts is cemented by their motto “If you see it in The Sun, it’s so!”  Virginia’s letter makes its way to the curmudgeonly editor, Francis Church, who feels he has better things to do than respond to a little girl’s question.  But, with Virginia’s determination, and a little help from Scraggly Santa, Mr. Church is persuaded to write the answer that became the most famous newspaper editorial of all time:  “Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus!”
