Dominican Coco Loco - Now that’s a picnic
While it’s not exactly the best drink to take to a picnic - it is by far one of the best and most refreshing summer drinks on the planet.
One of my fondest memories was a picnic on the beach in the Bahamas’ - basking in the warm sun and cooling off with Coco Loco’s.
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 oz Light Rum
- 1/2 oz Amaretto Almond Liqueur
- 1 oz Cream of Coconut
- 1 tsp Grenadine Syrup
- 3 - 5 Dashes Milk
- 1/2 oz Unsweetened Pineapple Juice
Blending Instructions:
- Combine ingredients in a blender with about a 1/2 cup of ice
- Blend until smooth and serve in a wine glass
I have to admit, I’m not the biggest on being outdoors - especially in the hot, humid, Indiana summers. However, plant me on a beach when it’s 110 out, give me an ocean breeze and I can picnic all day long. With Coco Loco in hand of course :)

I think COCO LOCO ha many names across the world. I have drunk similar thing but that was not COCO LOCO. So putting names aside, it is refreshing and energetic(I feel it that way).
