Days Ago Digital Day Counter - A MomGadget Review

Days Ago Food SaverIt’s tiny, it’s simple and it should never be left on a shelf. I was asked to review the Days Ago product and when I read what it did, I couldn’t pass it up. Of course I want something that tells me how long I’ve had the food in the fridge. I’ll never have to worry about which foods I should keep again.

First picture this: I’m the mother of four children and a wife, all of which constantly have something in my fridge and of course if I ever ask them to put something away it doesn’t mean I’ll find it again. Sometimes I find things a few days later, or worse a few weeks later…and that doesn’t always smell pretty. There are times when I have all types of take-out in my fridge and never remember exactly how many days it has been in there. Ever experience this? Most moms have, that’s why this is one of those “Must Haves” for moms.

Once this came in the mail I had to wait a few days to use it as I didn’t have anything magnetic to stick it with. Haha, my funny because it didn’t occur to me until later on but these little doo-dads actually stick on the shelves of my fridge, so when we ordered pizza on a Wednesday night I just placed it on the same shelf as the pizza. There was never any mistaking how old the pizza was and everyone happily continued to eat it. Yes, I’m one of those I’ll toss it out after only a few days because for some reason I can’t remember how long it’s been in there.

Tip: It does NOT stick on the inside of the fridge, but it does on the shelves and outside the fridge.

The Day Counter was also used on the top of a baby food jar. I was a bit skeptical at first as I figured it would fall off but it didn’t. Place Days Ago on the top of the product, push in the tiny piece on top (button) and it’ll start counting the days. It easily comes on and off, which is great for when ya need to re-open the baby food jar. Once it is time to stick it back in the fridge simply place the little counter above the lid and it’ll go right on it.

When you order this it comes in a sealed package with two counters. For me the were magnetic, one was green and the other was orange. But they also have suction cup counters.

Suction or Magnetic Days Ago Digital Day Counter come in a 2 pack for just $10. I say this is a great investment because you’ll never have to second guess your food again. Stopping tossing food out just because you can’t remember if ya bought it three days ago or five.

For more information on Days Ago Digital Day Counter, visit daysago. They even have a food guide on the site to show you how long certain foods are good for.

  1. Nice idea! I can’t even remember what I’m about to do sometimes, let alone when I put something in the fridge. I especially like the idea of a food guide. Me and my husband are always at odds on that one.
