Beaming in from Buffalo

Hi!

I came close to starting this post off in a very Simpsonish way. Remember Troy McClure? As in…”You might remember me from such films as…” Only I’m not a guy and I haven’t been in films. So, yeah…maybe we won’t go that route.

Instead, I’ll tell you a bit about me: I have 5 children, 4 of which are all under 8 years of age. The two youngest are boys- you better believe their dad did the Happy Dance when he saw what we fondly refer to as ‘The Turtle’ on the sonograms. Our smallest (we call him Buddha) is just shy of 9 months. His hobbies are crawling, chewing on most everything, and eating. The rest, well…they make a hobby out of getting away with whatever they can while I’m not looking.

I live in Buffalo, New York, but I’m originally from a tiny little town in North Carolina called Faith. Not much more than a dot on the map, but it has the biggest 4th of July celebration in the state. Google it sometime! If you’re ever nearby, stop down and get some good eats on the 4th, you’ll be glad you did.

I was excited to join the team here on MomGadget, because I love doing reviews and sharing my thoughts on products that I think will help others. Practical, functional things are what I love. Don’t get me wrong, I love the ‘girlie’ things, but all makeup ever got me was a husband.

He’s pretty hot, so I guess that’s a big positive on the side of makeup.
