Battle of the Sexes Heats Up - Literally
Have you ever really given much thought about your marriage being a daily battle of the sexes? I haven’t - well, until now!
I just read this interesting little article where a study was actually conducted to determine who controls the temperature in the home.
It’s kind of funny because in my house, we can totally related to this study and I swear I wasn’t one of the respondents.
Just out of curiosity, who controls the temperature in your house? What’s your thermostat usually set on? And does your partner complain about it?
Here? Ours is set on 70 most days tipping it up to about 72 - 74 on those blistery cold days. And YES my hubby complains.
Funny thing is, everyone used to say it’s because I was ‘too skinny’ and that I needed to ‘put some meat on my bones.’ — well now that I’ve gained all this weight I can state for the record that is SO not the case!

That is a riot! I totally control the thermostat in our house. I keep it on 72-73 and my husband complains that he is FREEZING!! Wha????? I always know when he switches it even one degree b/c I am sweltering! I tell him he can always put on a sweatshirt, but I can’t get less naked than naked when I’m hot!

We keep ours set at 72 all winter and 78 during the AC months. We have one of those digital thermostats and I don’t know if my wife even knows how to change it.
