After the BlogRush

BlogRush is a free service that was created to help bloggers attract more readers to their blog simply by adding the BlogRush Widget to your blog.

My own first impression is that it works much like MyBlogLog but instead of showing the recent visitors photo, it shows quality content within your niche.

BlogRush remains in beta at this time, so it’s only available to English blogs. If you have a non-english blog you can join their waiting list to be notified when our other language networks launch.

I like the fact that BlogRush monitors the blogs that participate. You’ll NOT find blogs that publish or link to hate, racial, drug, terrorist, gambling, pornography, or anything illegal or obscene for that matter. This includes - hacking, copyrighted music/video/software downloads.

“Scraper” (spam) blogs or blogs primarily filled with ads are also not accepted. Only quality blogs with real value for a blog visitors are accepted, period.

Blogrush boasts of both automated and manual methods in place that detect fraudulent users or users without quality blogs. If by some chance a non quality blog slips through, they assure participants that violators will be terminated immediately so publishers aren’t helping to promote substandard sites. BlogRush seems quite committed to their own integrity and the quality of service they provide for their publishers.

Here’s how it works: BlogRush users earn “syndication credits” (the right to have their blog post titles shown inside a widget on another related blog) based on their own traffic (loads of the widget) as well as the traffic of other users they refer to BlogRush. Users can automatically refer others to BlogRush via special links on the widget, as well as through the promotion of a special referral URL they are given.

BlogRush is a “Cooperative Syndication Network” that rewards its users for their contributions to the network — from the impressions they provide of the BlogRush Widget to the referral of other users through 10 ‘generations’ of activity and the impressions of the widget that they provide. BlogRush was designed to be incredibly viral and to provide its users with tremendous distribution leverage to receive exposure for their blog content (onto related content blogs) that they could never achieve on their own; at least without a massive advertising budget.

Thanks for the tip Teri
