A Super Bowl Party - MomGadget Style

As part of the MomGadget Red Hot Bloggers Carnival - this weeks carnival is all about the upcoming Super Bowl! Whether it’s recipes, memories, dislikes, focusing on the commercials or whatever - if it has to do with this Sunday night - The Colts or The Bears, you’re welcome to bring your post and join the carnival.I guess you could say I’m one of those fair weathered friends. I’ll be the first to admit that I didn’t watch the Colts play during the regular season and in fact, I didn’t start watching until three games ago. I tend to only watch when things get super exciting.

Here in Indiana, even if you’re not the biggest football fan or even if you don’t know what a 1st and 10 means, you can’t help but feel the excitement that’s hovering like a warm blue blanket all over the state.

We’re not planning to host a party here in the McCord household, but we do plan on enjoying a nice family evening with special snacks that are being created just for the occasion - wearing our Colts Blue and showing our spirit from the super frigidness of Indiana.

Though these folks are actual participants in this carnival, they are talking about the Super Bowl and I thought they were worth a mention:

NGPFocus draws attention to some fairly lame rules that the NFL has and how it’s enforcing those rules to prohibit a church from hosting a Super Bowl party.

Apparently you can’t have over a certain amount of people watching one television and you can’t have it larger than 55 inches. That’s absurd!

Makes me want to invite 100 of my closest friends over Sunday!

America’s ‘number one’ favorite condiment is Salsa and here is a long list of recipes for salsa that sound sooo yummy, I’m putting together my shopping list now just so I can prepare of couple for our little party Sunday.

Char over at Casual Keystrokes has chimed in with her Super Bowl Munchies recipes and I’m thinking I could grow quite addicted to the bread recipe. I’m such a cheese fanatic anyway.

Angela take the time to focus on what an amazing man Colts Coach Tony Dungy is both on and off the field.  Not too many realize what a truly inspirational man Tony is.  It’s nice to see his influence is finally worthy of notice :)
Thanks for participating in this Super Bowl Carnival! If you have an entry you’d like added and the carnival time has lapsed, feel free to drop me an email, I’d be more than happy to list it.
